Refund Policy

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

We want you to love your vibrant rope! If something isn’t quite right, we accept returns and exchanges within 30 days of delivery, as long as items are unused and in original condition.

Because of the sensitive nature of our products, returns and exchanges for non-defective items such as dissatisfaction with the color will need prior approval before returning. 

Returned items must be unused, unwashed, free of wear or scent, and sent back in their original packaging with proof of purchase. Rope showing signs of use, washing, scent, wear, or alteration cannot be accepted.  All returns are inspected upon arrival, and items that do not meet these conditions may be refused.

If an exchange color is unavailable, a refund will be issued instead.

*Custom-dyed, made-to-order, or limited-run rope is final sale unless defective.

DEFECTIVE OR DAMAGED ITEMS

If your order arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos so we can take care of it. Normal wear or damage from use is not considered a defect.

SHIPPING & REFUNDS

Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the item is defective or a fulfillment error. Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method in the time frame estimated by your payment provider.

CUT ROPE POLICY

Dyes That Bind prioritizes your safety above all else. We understand that Shibari is inherently risky, which we have a deep respect for. Remember, you can always replace a rope, but you can never replace a life. If you ever need to cut your Dyes That Bind rope during an emergency, we’ll replace it free of charge (please note that substitutions may apply for limited edition items). This policy applies exclusively to ropes crafted by Dyes That Bind, including those purchased directly from our website, through an authorized retailer, or received as a gift. 

In the event this happens, please reach out to us at dyesthatbind@gmail.com with the subject line, “Cut Rope Policy” and a picture of the rope.
